Sabrina Carpenter stole the spotlight during her attendance at the VMA awards gala, held in Los Angeles with a host of high-profile celebrities, including Madonna, with whom she won the award for Best Collaboration for her song "Bring Your Love."
The star, although she did not walk the red carpet, made sure to shine during the ceremony with two glamorous ensembles, both with a vintage aesthetic, which helped highlight her stunning silhouette and incomparable beauty.
One of the outfits in question was a blush-colored maxi dress made with ruffles featuring dangling fringe and black tassels. The garment, by Dolce & Gabbana, featured thick decorated straps and a sweetheart neckline, in addition to a tight corset and straight skirt; she combined it with high-heeled shoes and discreet jewelry.
Another look she wore was an unbuttoned white dress shirt, visible black lingerie, and black mini-shorts with shimmering sequins, in addition to vintage suspenders, a black beret, ripped stockings, and Mary Jane shoes. She wore this outfit to open the gala, performing the song "Bring Your Love" alongside Madonna, and referenced one of the Queen of Pop's iconic looks from the 90s.

In addition to her glamorous looks at the MTV Video Music Awards, Sabrina drew inspiration from old Hollywood aesthetics for her makeup and hair; she wore her blonde hair in voluminous waves with a center part to frame her face.
Her makeup highlighted glowing skin with rosy cheeks, winged eyeliner, and glossy nude-pink lips that reflected the floral tones of the dress.
While the singers were receiving the award for their collaboration, Madonna sparked an awkward moment on stage by accusing Sabrina Carpenter and her team of ignoring her attempts to make contact when she reached out to record the song together.
"I'd like to briefly tell you how this collaboration came about," Madonna said. "Everyone who knows me knows how impatient I am, and when five days went by and I still hadn't managed to contact Sabrina or received a response on whether she wanted to record a song with me. Five days! I sent her a direct message," she recounted.
In response, the young singer reacted nervously, smiling at the audience, before saying that her team always responds to work messages, including Madonna's proposal for "Bring Your Love."
After making the moment awkward, Madonna tried to ease the tension by recognizing their joint work and the efforts both made to ensure the song turned out as they expected.
"I love working with you because you are very professional, and in these times it is very difficult to find professional people to work with," said the Queen of Pop.
