Gastronomy has become one of the main reasons for choosing a tourist destination, and hotel restaurants are gaining more and more prominence among travelers. This is confirmed by OpenTable, which unveiled its list of the 100 best hotel restaurants in the United States for 2026, a selection that brings together some of the most exclusive and renowned establishments in the country.
According to data shared by the platform, 61% of Americans have chosen a destination for its gastronomic offer, while 60% of those planning to travel this summer have booked a hotel specifically for its restaurant.
Additionally, bookings at hotel restaurants made by travelers grew by 13% compared to the previous year, reflecting how the culinary experience has become a deciding factor when planning vacations.
"Restaurants are no longer just a stop on an itinerary; they have become the center of the travel experience," noted Matt Davis, head of Hotels for North America at OpenTable.

According to the OpenTable study, hotel restaurants are experiencing a boom driven by new consumer preferences:
92% of people have eaten at a hotel restaurant without staying there.
88% of Generation Z members book restaurants before arriving at their destination.
Solo dining reservations made by travelers increased by 30%.
More than half of those surveyed plan to use artificial intelligence tools to find and book restaurants.
71% look to disconnect from screens during their trips to prioritize in-person experiences.
