These are the 50 best hotels in the world: One from Mexico is in the Top 10

Mexico once again stood out among the most important luxury hotels on the planet. The 2026 edition of The 50 Best Hotels ranking included four Mexican properties among the best hotels in the world, and one of them secured a spot within the coveted global Top 10.

The list was presented at a ceremony held in Paris and brings together establishments recognized for their service, design, gastronomy, and guest experiences.

The best hotel in the world for the second consecutive year was Rosewood Hong Kong, located in Hong Kong, while Mexico achieved an outstanding participation with Chablé Yucatán, which placed in the ninth position of the world ranking and was also named the best hotel in North America.

The ranking, compiled by more than 800 experts and professionals from the international hotel industry, included establishments from 22 territories spread across six continents. Europe led the list with 21 hotels, followed by Asia with 18 properties.

The Mexican hotel that entered the global Top 10

The great representative of Mexico was Chablé Yucatán, located in Chocholá, Yucatán, which reached the number 9 spot in the world. In addition to being among the ten best hotels on the planet, it received the Bombay Sapphire Eco Hotel Award, a recognition granted for its sustainability initiatives, including the use of solar energy, the elimination of plastic bottles, and environmental conservation programs.

Mexico also placed three other hotels on the list:

• One&Only Mandarina, Riviera Nayarit (puesto 23).
• Las Ventanas al Paraíso, Los Cabos (puesto 25).
