¿Qué es la Beca Leona Vicario?
The program is aimed at children and adolescents from 0 to 17 years and 11 months old who live in vulnerable conditions and includes a monthly financial support that can reach up to $1,032 pesos, depending on the beneficiary's age and school situation.
In addition to the money, the scholarship offers comprehensive services related to health, psychological care, cultural activities, and counseling for families.
¿Quiénes pueden solicitar la Beca Leona Vicario 2026?
In general terms, it can be requested by minors who:
- Tengan de 0 hasta 17 años 11 meses de edad
- Estén inscritos en escuelas públicas de la CDMX, de nivel preescolar, primaria, secundaria y media superior, bajo un sistema escolarizado, semi escolarizado y educación en línea públicos, a excepción de niñas y niños 0 a 3 años de edad o aquellos que por situación de particular gravedad, no les es posible participar en el sistema escolarizado
- Residan en la CDMX
- No tengan un ingreso familiar mensual mayor a $4,763.69 pesos.
Who has priority?
The cases covered include:
-Children between 0 and 3 years old
-Situation of economic vulnerability
-Victims of violence.
Whose mothers, fathers, or guardians:
▪ Have passed away
▪ Have a permanent disability that prevents them from working
▪ Are deprived of their liberty
-Daughters and sons of police officers who died in the line of duty
-With single mothers, fathers, or guardians in Mexico City.
¿Cuánto dinero da la Beca Leona Vicario 2026?
Not all beneficiaries receive exactly $1,032 pesos each month. The amount depends on the age group and schooling level. For 2026, the scheme published for the program contemplates the following amounts:
- 0 a 2 años: $1,032 pesos
- 3 a 5 años: $432 pesos
- 6 a 14 años: $382 pesos
- 15 a 17 años: $1,032 pesos
- CAM: $432 pesos.
There is also a special scheme during July and August, when some groups receive $1,032 pesos. For September-December, the corresponding amounts return.

Pre-registration for new beneficiaries began on August 1 and will end on August 31, 2026. Therefore, if you are interested in applying, you are on time.
