Why will there be five days without classes in Campeche?
The decision to add September 17 and 18 was proposed by the governor of Campeche, Layda Sansores, with the goal of facilitating the participation of teachers in the commemorative parades on September 16.
"So, I am proposing: why don't we give Thursday and Friday off? So that the teachers would be encouraged to go march and thus create a long weekend (...) it is a gift from an aunt, from an aunt who loves them," the governor said during the broadcast of the program Martes del Jaguar.
