As promised, the authorities from the Secretariat of Welfare and President Claudia Sheinbaum announced the increases for the Bienestar Pensions for 2026, in addition to revealing the exact payment dates to start the year with some extra cash in their pockets.
During the 'Mañanera del Pueblo' press conference, Ariadna Montiel, head of the Secretariat of Welfare, announced the official amounts for the government's main social programs following the increase promised at the end of last year.
Here are the new payment amounts:
- Pensión Bienestar Adultos Mayores: $6,400
- Pensión Mujeres Bienestar: $3,100
- Pensión Personas con Discapacidad: $3,300
- Programa Madres Trabajadoras: $1,650
These financial aid programs are intended for all those Mexicans in need who cannot work due to social, medical, or age-related issues, and who are in a state of economic vulnerability.

With the 2026 increases, the Government of Mexico aims to ensure that beneficiary families maintain their purchasing power in the face of inflation, and that social support, currently being distributed, continues to be an effective tool to cover expenses and improve the economy of the Mexicans who need it most, according to authorities.
¿Cuándo pagan las Pensiones del Bienestar con el aumento?
The support, distributed bimonthly for these pensions, will be made through the Bienestar Card, which is given to beneficiaries once they are accepted into the programs.
Keep in mind that this payment corresponds to the January-February bimester and will be made according to the first letter of the beneficiary's first surname.

On Wednesday, January 28, beneficiaries of 'Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro' will receive their monthly payment with the corresponding increase to 9,582.47 pesos. The program saw an increase in line with the new minimum wage that went into effect on January 1.
