Donald Trump and the White House team lashed out at a CNN journalist after she asked about the American president's relationship with an aide.
During an event in the Oval Office, journalist Kristen Holmes asked 80-year-old Trump to respond to comments from a Democratic congressman regarding the president's executive aide Natalie Harp, 35.

Harp has been the subject of comments after it was learned that she was one of the few aides who accompanied Trump during the secret change of Air Force One planes on a flight from Turkey in July.
"Someday, your children will come across your disgusting and inhumane question," the White House Rapid Response account said in a post on X directed at Holmes.
The Republican also attacked Holmes, calling her "very disrespectful" while she was asking a question about North Korea.
"You're a loud, obnoxious person, you're fake news, be quiet," Trump told Holmes.
CNN said the attacks on Holmes were "beneath the dignity of the office." "We firmly stand by Kristen and reject these attacks in the strongest possible terms," it noted in a statement.
The White House criticized Holmes for asking the question during an event to honor a teenage lifeguard.
"@POTUS hosts a hero lifeguard in the Oval Office and she uses it as an opportunity to take a cheap shot about a staffer for President Trump," the Rapid Response account said.
Jon Ossoff, a Democratic senator and potential 2028 presidential candidate, accused Trump in a speech on Sunday of wanting to "build his ballroom and travel with Natalie" instead of doing his job.
In the book "Regime Change" published this year, two New York Times journalists said that Harp's loyalty reaches the point of writing letters to Trump, including one that says: "You are all that matters to me."
