Predictions about the end of times and the arrival of extraterrestrial beings on Earth continue to give people something to talk about. Now, one of the men who stepped on the Moon with NASA's Apollo Program has joined the conversation. What did he say? Below, we tell you about the warning and the revelations he made.

Charles Duke, a former astronaut who walked on the Moon during the Apollo 16 mission, claimed during an appearance on the Christian Broadcasting Network that UFOs could be demonic entities seeking to affect humanity.

The 91-year-old man cited the Bible to base his theories and explain the alleged nature of extraterrestrial phenomena and how demons are using the concepts of aliens and UFOs to “lead us away from the truth.”

“The Lord says that what we are seeing is real, but the devil can appear as an angel of light, the Bible says,” noted the man who was the youngest person to walk on the Moon at age 36 in 1972.

“For a long time years ago, I was praying about UFOs and asking for a sign. I felt that UFOs were demonic, but I would say it in clubs and things like that, and people would laugh at me and kick me off the stage,” he recalled of when they mocked him for sharing his opinions.

Duke also said that on one occasion he asked God for a sign to confirm his suspicions. According to his story, he asked that a close friend, a businessman who did not usually talk about UFOs, bring up the subject the next morning. The former astronaut claimed that this was exactly what happened and that his friend told him he wanted to talk to him about those phenomena.

As part of his explanation, Duke cited 2 Corinthians 11:14: “And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” The biblical passage originally refers to false apostles who appear to be legitimate representatives of the Christian faith. Duke extended that interpretation to , although he provided no scientific evidence.

Despite his personal beliefs and preaching them regarding UFOs being demons, the former astronaut stated that he has never had a close encounter with UFOs, especially during his space missions with Apollo.

Charles Duke is not the only public figure who has linked unidentified phenomena to In March 2026, U.S. Vice President JD Vance raised a similar idea by suggesting that UFOs could be demons.

“If someone sees an alien, maybe I see an angel or a demon. I firmly believe that there are spiritual forces that influence the physical world, forces that many of us don’t see, don’t understand, and don’t appreciate,” explainedin a podcast.
