The closeness between and his aide Natalie Harp has once again sparked controversy in Washington after it was revealed that she now occupies an “ultra-secret” spot in the White House.

According to reports, the 35-year-old communications aide left her former workspace to settle into a private dining room, where the president often spends most of his time making calls, reviewing documents, watching television, and working away from his staff.

The New York Times made these revelations a few days ago, raising questions about the influence Natalie Harp has over the American president and the relationship they share beyond professional boundaries.

The new workspace is surrounded by printed documents and newspaper articles that occupy much of the private dining room. It is no coincidence: Harp has earned the nickname The Human Printer because she often carries a portable printer to personally deliver news, social media posts, and messages from his allies to Trump.

According to officials cited by the outlet, she now works in that room when she is not sitting behind the president's desk. It is unclear if the change will be permanent. However, her work goes far beyond printing news.

It has been said that Natalie Harp also plays a role in the president’s digital activity and often helps him post messages on Truth Social.

A video from the 2024 documentary The Art of the Surge drew attention again because it shows Trump dictating posts to her while she types them during Kamala Harris's speech at the Democratic National Convention.

The episode fueled questions about how much of the content on the presidential account is drafted or posted by the aide, although it is known that Trump also dictates and oversees his own messages.

The president’s trust in is also no secret. During a rally in Grand Island, Nebraska, on October 5th, Trump invited her onto the stage to hand him a document and compared her to a model from The Price Is Right: “This perfect person,” said the president while joking about the possibility of doing a television show with her.

This closeness has triggered speculation about a potentially unhealthy relationship between the two, an interpretation that has circulated in publications such as Radar Online.

Harp has publicly expressed her admiration for Trump and, according to documents and letters described in the book Regime Change by journalists Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, she even wrote him personal messages expressing deep devotion.

From the White House, a spokesperson has described her as one of the president's most loyal and hardworking collaborators.
