The viral video shows the moment the man physically assaults the worker in front of a security guard. Following the dissemination of the case, capital authorities reported that they have already launched the corresponding investigations.

According to the program Por la Mañana con Ciro Gómez Leyva, the guest allegedly sent a WhatsApp message to the receptionist asking her to receive a package. Upon not receiving an immediate response, he allegedly went down to the reception to complain and subsequently physically assaulted her.

In the footage, it is observed that the man accuses the receptionist of trying to record him with one of her cell phones. However, according to the version reported by Ciro Gómez Leyva, the worker was on a video call with her boss.

Some local media have also published that the man allegedly has ties to the Sinaloa Cartel and that he may be linked to an alleged real estate fraud in Mazatlán through the company Grupo Universal Inmobiliario y de Industrias S.A. de C.V.

Through its social media channels, the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City reported that "personnel from this Secretariat's Sector have already interviewed the 40-year-old worker, as well as the establishment's manager, to provide them with the necessary advice and support."

Likewise, it noted that the Mexico City Attorney General's Office is already conducting the corresponding investigation and coordinating the implementation of necessary protection measures for the victim.

The SSC added that an investigation has also been initiated into the company that offers services at the tourist apartment, in addition to verifying its legal status to integrate it into the inquiries derived from the complaint.
