What did Gala Montes' mom say about her entering La Casa de los Famosos 2026?
On Instagram, Crista Montes de Oca uploaded a post in which she revealed that she did not "agree" with Gala Montes entering the TelevisaUnivision reality show and claimed she was worried about her "well-being."
The 26-year-old actress and singer had previously spoken about her depression diagnosis.
“As a mother, I want to express that I do not agree with the way they are exposing Gala. I know she is an adult and I respect that, for now, she does not want to receive my help or have any closeness with me; however, that does not eliminate my concern for her well-being,” she wrote.
Crista Montes de Oca, who has been estranged from her daughter for some time, added that the production of the reality show has a responsibility to take care of its stars and that humanity comes before ratings.
“A production also has the responsibility to take care of its artists. Not everything should be turned into a spectacle: neither Gala nor anyone else should be put on display when their integrity and dignity could be at risk. Humanity must come before ratings.”

The conflict between mother and daughter began when Gala Montes fired her mother as her manager.
Crista Montes de Oca revealed to TV Notas that, after firing her, her daughter demanded payment for the time they worked together.
Following her mother's statements, Gala uploaded a video to Instagram in which she accused her mother of manipulating, deceiving, and extorting her, and wanting to keep her money. Additionally, she stated that the conflicts with her mother caused her depression.

Gala Montes explained to her fellow contestants on the reality show that the interview her mother had given to Adrián Marcelo, with whom she is in conflict, had prevented her from selling more performances at the Lunario.
“I did my first Lunario and it was sold out in eight minutes. I was going to sell three more... [then] everything fell apart. My mom sold an interview to him, which Adrián Marcelo paid her one million pesos for to go talk about me,” she stated.
After this statement, Ernesto de Laguardia asked her: “Who is your mother?”, to which the actress and singer replied:
“A son of a b*tch.”
On Instagram, Crista Montes de Oca asserted that the information her daughter had given regarding the payment for the interview with Adrián Marcelo was "erroneous" and questioned if she had the power to stop her from selling two Lunarios.
“So you can see the stupid things Mexico gets entertained by. And since they take the bait, we are already at a million pesos!!!!!! Wow, I’m the only woman who has charged that. Make me look good, gentlemen... this information is erroneous, and on the other hand, a question: am I so powerful as to prevent a Lunario? (sorry 2 Lunarios) and without lifting a finger.”
