The father of the daughter of the late American actress, model, and singer Hayden Panettiere, former boxer Wladimir Klitschko, stated that the family is going through a time of deep sorrow, and promised to always speak to Kaya about her mother with respect and that he will ensure she remembers her.
"Our family is going through a moment of deep shock and pain. The news of Hayden's tragic passing saddens me deeply," wrote Klitschko on his Instagram account alongside a photograph of the actress and their daughter, born in 2014.

Panettiere, who passed away Sunday at age 36 in South Carolina, "left this world too soon," added the Ukrainian, who noted that, although the two had not been a couple for some time, "Hayden was an important part of my life and the mother of our daughter, Kaya," who is in his custody.
The former world boxing champion met the actress in 2008 and they got engaged five years later, although they separated in 2018.
Klitschko said that Panettiere, known for her roles in the "Scream" horror film saga and the hit series "Heroes," built "an extraordinary career thanks to her enormous talent, while having to face the darker aspects of a very demanding industry."
"Nothing will erase the moments we shared nor the place she held in our lives," he emphasized, adding that "I will always speak to our daughter Kaya about her mother with respect and will ensure that she remembers the person she was."
Klitschko expressed his deepest condolences to Hayden's parents, her friends, and her fans, and asked everyone to respect the family's feelings and privacy during this incredibly difficult time.
