The death of actress Hayden Panettiere has shocked Hollywood. After the first reports were released regarding what happened during her recent trip to South Carolina, Frankie Muniz, her co-star on the series Malcolm in the Middle, dedicated a farewell message to her.
The actor and race car driver left a message on Instagram alongside a photograph in which he appears next to Hayden, taken a few years ago.

“I am very saddened to hear about Hayden. I had the opportunity to work with her on many projects and I always had a wonderful time,” wrote the star of Malcolm on Instagram. “I have so many incredible memories and anecdotes with her. I hope she rests in peace,” he added.
Hayden and Frankie acted together in the series Malcolm in the Middle in the early 2000s. Although the actress's character was a supporting one, and she only appeared in four episodes, she left great memories for the fans.

Hayden played the babysitter Jessica, a teenager with problems at home who constantly ran away to be with Malcolm's family.
Her main characteristic was her cunning, which she often took to the point of manipulation. She knew perfectly well how to treat Lois to get Malcolm, Reese, and Dewey into trouble, and she even became their babysitter.
Malcolm hated when Jessica managed to outsmart him, but he also felt empathy and affection for her; the show even hints that they had romantic interests. Hayden Panettiere was 16 and 17 years old when she played Jessica.
So far, the rest of the famous series' cast has not made any statements regarding the passing of the 36-year-old actress.
In addition to the successful series, Panettiere and Muniz shared credits in the 2005 movie Racing Stripes.
Investigations into the death of Hayden Panettiere continue.
Hayden Panettiere's family has already been notified that the actress's remains are ready to be released, although they have not yet chosen a funeral home, the celebrity's representative told TMZ. Meanwhile, the coroner is keeping the body in their custody after completing the autopsy.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause or manner of her death. They are currently conducting toxicology tests that could take between 8 and 12 weeks and will analyze the possible presence of alcohol, medications, and various substances.
Panettiere, 36, was found unconscious in an apartment in Greenville, South Carolina. Emergency services attempted to revive her and found Narcan, a medication used to reverse the effects of drugs like fentanyl, but the actress was declared dead. The investigation continues and the toxicology results will be key to clarifying what happened.
