The friendship between Tom Cruise and Kate Middleton is reportedly sparking concerns within Buckingham Palace, especially after information began to circulate claiming that the actor is about to move to the United Kingdom and that the reason for this is that he wants to strengthen ties with the royal family, in particular, with Prince William's wife.
After meeting on the red carpet for the movie Top Gun: Maverick, the American actor has not stopped praising the Princess of Wales, while various reports have revived versions of an increasingly close relationship with her and Prince William.
Rumors also point to supposed discomfort within the Palace over the closeness of the Mission: Impossible star to the royal couple, as well as annoyance on William's part regarding the way Cruise speaks about Middleton in public.

"Nobody puts on a show like the British royals," a source told RadarOnline, indicating that this seems to be the type of attention that Cruise appreciates. "In London, Tom isn't just another actor promoting another movie. They treat him like the king of the city. Hollywood treats him like a movie star. London treats him like a visiting head of state," the source emphasized.
After the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick, Tom Cruise spoke about the Prince and Princess of Wales and highlighted their personalities. In an interview with ExtraTV, the actor described Kate as an intelligent, funny woman with an extraordinary sense of humor. He also praised the purple dress she wore during the premiere, calling it spectacular. Regarding Prince William, Cruise commented that he had made a good choice by marrying Kate.
But these words did not please William, even though the actor tried to flatter him. Sources close to the Royal Household revealed to RadarOnline that the heir to the throne seemingly had a fit of jealousy over the media attention that Kate and Cruise were receiving together.
Likewise, there are also concerns in the palace about the relationship, but they are not the same kind as William's. Royal expert Rob Shuter reported that the palace is more concerned about the image projected by a Scientologist associating with Kate.
"Nobody is worried that Kate is going to run off with Tom Cruise (...) what they are worried about is Scientology getting close to the future king and queen. That is a completely different matter," said Shuter, who added: "This is mainly because King Charles is the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, and as we all know, William will take on that role when he ascends to the throne. This means that any approach to another religion, let alone one as controversial as Scientology, poses obvious complications."
