The nickname gained strength following the close relationship and dynamic between the historic 40-year-old goalkeeper and the youngest player on the national team.
This is why Mexicans are asking Ochoa to keep an eye on 'Morita' (as they affectionately call the young player) and to make sure he sleeps well, has his breakfast, lunch, and dinner on time, and stays away from what they point to as bad influences, with Alexis Vega's name being the one that stands out.
These comments were made on a video that Guillermo Ochoa shared on his Instagram account, in which he shows that he went to Mora's room to make sure he was asleep and resting as he should. "I've already put my kid to sleep... rest well, good night," was the message the goalkeeper shared.
The reference to Vega has to do with several non-sporting episodes that involved the forward during different team gatherings; the most notorious scandals in his career have been mainly linked to indiscipline, parties, alcohol consumption, and violations of his clubs' internal regulations.
Many comments on Ochoa's video read: "Don Memo, check that Alexis Vega isn't hiding in there, he looked very cheerful, what if he gave him some 'agua loca'?", "Don Memo, make sure Alexis doesn't give him any alcohol", "Make sure he never gets to know Bacardi, Don Memo", and "Don Memo, don't let Morita try any vices, we're counting on you."
