Norwegian striker who was born in England and is a current Manchester City player, acknowledged this Thursday that it will be "really special" to face the English national team in Miami this Saturday in the World Cup quarterfinals.

"It is very special because I play in England, I was born in England, and I am going to play against teammates, so I will feel a bit uncomfortable," admitted one of the tournament's best strikers.

With seven goals in the World Cup, just behind Lionel Messi's eight, Haaland insisted that he was "enjoying it a lot."

"First of all, just being able to play in the World Cup. It is wonderful to be here, to be able to play on a big stage with my friends," he replied very relaxed to a group of journalists before a training session for the Norwegian national team at the Inter Miami training center.

Four days after the round of 16 match against Brazil (2-1), in which he scored two goals, he reflected on the match.

"I didn't expect it at all. I celebrated it even before the match against Brazil; I didn't expect it. My mother didn't expect to be in the quarterfinals either," he said.

"Playing and beating Brazil was crazy for us Norwegians, and then playing against England in the quarterfinals is incredible. If you see what is happening in Norway, it is not the usual Norway," Haaland emphasized.
