Who is Andrea Campos, the athlete daughter of Jorge Campos?
Andrea Campos, the eldest daughter of "El Brody," was born in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, on August 6, 2002, so she is now 24 years old. She plays professional volleyball as a setter for the Holte IF team in Denmark.
The young woman told the Los Angeles Times in an interview that during her childhood she tried to play soccer, but over time she discovered that another discipline caught her attention much more.
“I started playing soccer and I liked it a lot. But then I was introduced to volleyball and I liked it much more,” Andrea recounted.
She even confessed that for a time she was afraid to tell her father that she had chosen another sport, although Jorge Campos's reaction was completely different from what she imagined, and since she chose volleyball, the former player has not stopped supporting her, even from a distance.
“I was very afraid to tell my dad, but he was happy (...) He always gives me advice. He tells me not to think too much and just go for the ball. There are many times I dive for the ball, no matter where it goes, and I reach it many times. So my dad helps me a lot in the games,” Andrea noted.
From her beginnings, Andrea Campos competed at the collegiate level, proving that the Campos family's athletic tradition could continue even if it wasn't exactly on a soccer field.
During her time at San Diego State University, the player joined the student team before moving on to teams like Les Comètes d’ Orléans and later Holte IF.
