A user on X identified as @catrina_nortena shared a video before the Argentina vs. England match in which a group of Argentine fans can be heard singing:
"Whoever doesn't jump is English."
In the video, it is observed how the Argentine fans' chant drowned out the England national team's anthem. Therefore, the user considered it a sign of disrespect.
"Dirty on and off the field...", they wrote.

In the comments section, several Mexican fans recalled that when 'El Tri' faced Ecuador on June 30th in the 2026 World Cup round of 16, Argentine fans criticized part of the Mexican fanbase for booing the Ecuadorian anthem and labeled that behavior as a lack of respect.
