The match between Mexico and Ecuador left several memorable moments both on and off the pitch. One of the most discussed topics on social media was a post on X that apparently shows a woman stuck in a fence at the Fan Fest held at Fundidora Park in Monterrey.

The images went viral quickly and generated hundreds of reactions. However, the authorities have not commented on the matter, so it is unknown whether the images are real or were generated with artificial intelligence (AI).

¿Qué muestran las imágenes de la mujer atorada en una reja del Fan Fest?

Images are circulating on social media in which a woman allegedly attempts to jump the fence of the venue to enter the Fan Fest and ends up stuck between the bars.

The images also show several people trying to help her and that a crane is apparently being used to free her.

However, X users pointed out that firefighters, or any other relevant authority, would have used a ladder instead of a crane.

As expected, the images went viral among X users, who shared divided opinions. While some questioned the veracity of the images, others took advantage of the situation to make jokes.

Among the comments, the following stand out:

"What a happy ending, very, very good. It would have been better if they had left her there and she had gotten down by her own means; just as she climbed up, let her get down alone."

"If something like that happens to you, there is no other choice but to change your identity and start a new life in another country, right?"

"Monterrey is looking like the tackiest city in the entire World Cup, and it's all thanks to the people who are out there knocking down fences and jumping into the Fan Fests…"

"Honestly, I thought the crane thing was AI."
