The rescue of a girl who was left adrift more than a kilometer from the coast in La Paz, Baja California Sur, has gone viral on social media.
The minor was on a paddle board in front of Punta Arena beach when a group of fishermen noticed the situation and approached to assist her.
In the video circulating on social media, the girl can be seen on the board, without a life jacket and in the middle of the sea, while the fishermen approach to bring her to safety.
"It's okay, sweetie! Nothing is wrong, nothing is wrong. Don't panic. Don't panic. Stay calm. Stay calm," one of the men can be heard saying as they approach the minor.

After the images were shared on social media, some users questioned where the minor's parents were and pointed out a possible lack of supervision by the adults in charge.
However, one of the fishermen who participated in the rescue, Cristhian Flores Ramírez, explained that the girl was not alone and that her father was attempting to reach her.
In a comment posted on Facebook, Flores Ramírez recounted that he encountered the father while he was swimming, trying to reach his daughter.
"Only the father knows the situation that happened. I found the man swimming, trying to reach the girl, but the current and wind made it impossible to reach her. I happened to be passing by at that moment; I just heard the man's desperate cry several meters from the beach. Thank God both the father and the girl are fine," the fisherman wrote.

According to information published by Infobae, the minor was in the sea with her father when they both fell off the paddle board.
The man managed to get his daughter back onto the board but decided not to get on himself to prevent them from both falling off again. Unfortunately, weather conditions did not help the father and his daughter, as wind gusts and currents dragged the board out to sea.
Faced with this situation, the man made the difficult decision to leave his daughter behind, swim to shore, and ask for help. That was when Flores Ramírez's crew found him and brought him onto the boat, before rescuing the girl.
