A well-known "looksmaxxing" influencer known as "Clavicular" is facing rape charges in the state of Massachusetts, in the United States, according to court documents.
Braden Eric Peters, 20, is accused of rape, drugging a person for sexual intercourse, and procuring liquor while under the age of 21. He is scheduled to appear for an arraignment on October 14 at the Orleans District Court, according to a criminal complaint reviewed by AFP on Tuesday.
The alleged crimes involve a 17-year-old girl, whose identity is being withheld, and reportedly took place in May 2025 at the Peters family home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Peters could face up to 20 years in state prison if convicted of rape.
The influencer has cultivated a large internet audience as a "looksmaxxer," which involves taking extreme measures to improve physical appearance.
"Looksmaxxing" influencers have gained popularity on social media by exploiting the insecurities of young men seeking to increase their physical attractiveness to women.
In posts on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, they promote pseudoscientific methods to achieve everything from fuller lips to a more prominent chin, while monetizing their popularity by promoting a wide variety of products.
