After breaking attendance records during his free concert in Guadalajara for the 2026 World Cup, Alejandro Fernández spoke openly about one of the most personal topics of his life: his mental health.

The singer surprised everyone by revealing that he lives with depression and anxiety. He explained that he is already receiving professional treatment and took the opportunity to send a message to those facing a similar situation: seek help and leave behind the taboos that still surround these conditions.

Additionally, "El Potrillo" spoke about his relationship with Karla Laveaga and responded to whether he is considering heading to the altar.

Before traveling to Spain to enjoy a vacation with his girlfriend, Karla Laveaga, Alejandro Fernández was approached by the press at the airport.

During the interview, the singer confessed to Ventaneando that he lives with depression and anxiety.

"Suddenly, well, one suffers a lot from depression and anxieties, but I think it must be normal, right?"

The singer explained that he is currently receiving specialized medical care and urged those going through similar problems to seek professional support.

"With doctors, with physicians, and listening to everything they tell me because it is something super serious, very important... If you feel any need, don't be ashamed, get rid of those taboos, because it is super serious. I think these are some of the toughest problems we have right now in Mexico."

Regarding the free concert he gave at the Glorieta de La Minerva as part of the 2026 World Cup activities, the singer stated that he never imagined gathering so many people and affirmed that the attendance exceeded all his expectations.

"The truth is it was something we didn't expect, not even us... more than 100 thousand arrived. I think we were expecting 170 or 180, close to 200, but 370 we never imagined."

The singer also expressed his gratitude to Jalisco for the affection he has received throughout his career.

"Very grateful to my homeland, to Jalisco, always... from the beginning it opened its doors to me, and it has been, well, one of my best venues."

The singer was also questioned about his relationship with Karla Laveaga, whom he has been dating for approximately a decade.

Although he did not confirm a date for the wedding, he assured that, if it were to happen, it would be a simple and family-oriented ceremony.

"I think it would rather be a ceremony with just the family, my children, something small, nothing more."

Regarding the possibility of becoming a father again at 55, Alejandro Fernández acknowledged that it is a subject he has discussed with his partner, although for now, he does not imagine returning to that stage.

"I don't know, we are in talks, but I don't see myself right now going back to changing diapers again, and making bottles, but well."
