Eric Bauza, the voice actor known for voicing characters from the Looney Tunes series such as Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck, has passed away at the age of 46.

"Eric Bauza, an award-winning voice actor and the current voice of iconic Looney Tunes characters—such as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, as well as many other beloved cartoon characters—has passed away suddenly," his family wrote on Instagram.

According to Variety, which had access to the Los Angeles coroner's medical records, Bauza died on Sunday from hypertensive cardiovascular disease.

Throughout his career, Bauza was one of the most sought-after voice actors in the industry. He lent his voice to characters like the famous Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, but also to Tweety or Elmer Fudd.

His credits included Foghorn Leghorn, Porky Pig, and Road Runner, among others, and his voice can be heard in the recently released Looney Tunes film titled 'Coyote vs. Acme'.

He also voiced characters in 'Space Jam', 'Looney Tunes Cartoons', and other productions.

Bauza was nominated for five Daytime Emmy Awards for his work on 'Looney Tunes Cartoons', 'Muppet Babies', and 'The Adventures of Puss in Boots'.

Additionally, he won three Emmy Awards in the children's and family category for 'Teen Titans Go!', 'Bugs Bunny Builders', and 'Looney Tunes Cartoons', in addition to receiving a nomination for 'Daffy in Wackyland'.

At the time of his passing, the Canadian-born actor was in the pre-production phase of two projects: 'Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Tunes Musical', where he played Daffy Duck, and 'The Dragon Masters', in which he voiced the Shogun King.
