According to Page Six, Cage made this statement during his appearance at Los Angeles Comic Con last Saturday, after being asked how he would spend Halloween.
"At this moment, I don't have a fixed home. Something happened with my house in Malibu, so I am living more or less in hotels now, so I don't have the kids coming by for trick-or-treating that I would like to enjoy this evening," said the 62-year-old actor.

Cage added that despite the situation, he would take his four-year-old daughter August trick-or-treating in Santa Monica, California, and that he would watch the movie The Shining before going to sleep.
What happened to Nicolas Cage's mansion in Malibu?
The same outlet reported in September that a huge sinkhole appeared in front of the garage entrance of Cage's $10.5 million mansion due to "heavy rains and severe coastal erosion."
Aerial photographs show the damage to the property and the driveway. Inside the sinkhole, debris from concrete, a portable toilet, and metal structures that apparently belonged to a fence can be seen.
Cage was not the only one affected, as it was also reported that his neighbors had to be evacuated due to the danger the sinkhole posed.
Following the incident, seven houses were declared uninhabitable due to "dangerous conditions," while another 24 received a red tag because they lacked "safe vehicular access," according to The Post.
Additionally, the city of Malibu stated in a press release that the 31 homes were declared "unsafe" because emergency medical services, fire departments, and public safety could not access them.
