Prince Harry reportedly has a new cause for concern amidst his deteriorating relationship with the royal family: his potential inheritance. According to a report by the media outlet Radar Online, the Duke of Sussex fears that his estrangement from his father, King Charles III, and his brother, Prince William, could leave him out of decisions regarding the family estate.
A source close to the situation cited by the outlet claims that Harry is concerned about his financial future and that of Meghan Markle and their two children, Archie and Lilibet. What is happening now? How much money would he lose if he were left out of the inheritance?
The alleged concern comes after Harry publicly expressed his desire to reconcile with his family. In an interview with GQ magazine, the prince spoke about the complicated relationships with his father and brother: "I want it to work," he acknowledged when referring to the possibility of repairing those bonds.

He was also firm in pointing out that "the most important thing is to reconcile." However, he did not directly mention the issue of the inheritance nor did he claim that this was the reason for his outreach.
The life of the Sussexes is also going through a new phase. In August 2026, Harry and Meghan returned to the United Kingdom with Archie and Lilibet after living in California for six years, ever since they both renounced their royal titles and decided to leave the Crown.
The couple decided to settle in British territory for a prolonged period, although they maintain their independence and have no plans to resume their duties as working members of the monarchy. The King even announced, following their return, that the couple would not return to be part of the monarchy and would be private citizens.
The decision to remain in the United Kingdom seems to represent an opportunity for Harry to be closer to his father, but this does not mean that the family differences have been resolved.
According to the source cited by Radar Online, the prince's anxiety is not just emotional. Harry is reportedly aware that he must secure the future of his wife and children, especially after building a life independent of the monarchical institution.
"Harry's biggest concern right now is that the damage to his relationship with the royal family could have consequences that go far beyond emotional repercussions," the insider notes.
The insider maintains that he would be worried that, if he remains estranged from Charles when the King passes away, he could receive less than he expected from his father's personal estate.
"He has built a completely different life outside of the monarchy, and maintaining that independence entails huge financial commitments. The possibility of being ignored in decisions about his father's inheritance is, understandably, something that would weigh heavily on anyone in his position, and Harry now fears being left without a large part of his inheritance when Charles passes away, if they remain estranged when the King dies," the source recounted.
The relationship with William is another factor that would fuel the uncertainty. According to the same report, Harry is reportedly worried because his brother, as heir to the throne, has an increasingly important position within the family and closer proximity to the King. The source claims that the Duke fears being left out of family conversations regarding the future of the estate.
"One of the most difficult aspects of the situation is Harry's relationship with William. The brothers have been estranged for years, and Harry is also worried that William's increasingly prominent position within the royal family gives him greater access to their father at a time when important decisions about the future and their inheritances could be made," the insider pointed out.
To date, it is unknown how much money Harry would receive in the event that the King dies, given that the inheritance would be established in a private will made by Charles III.
