At 44 years old, Ivanka Trump is stealing the spotlight for her physical appearance and, especially, for the transformation she has undergone over the last few years, which has not gone unnoticed by her followers, who wonder what diet or exercise she does to stay in shape. Can you imagine what it might be? Find out what she eats every day and how she exercises to take care of her figure (and no, she doesn't do cardio).
The daughter of President Donald Trump has shown different moments of her fitness life on social media, but there is one change that she herself identified as decisive in modifying her body composition: stopping focusing her workouts primarily on cardio and prioritizing weights and strength training.
Ivanka explained that for much of her life she primarily practiced cardio, yoga, and Pilates. However, after moving to Miami, she began to incorporate weightlifting and resistance training much more consistently. As she told the Skinny Confidential Him and Her podcast, that was when she noticed a significant transformation in her body.
"Little by little, I started doing more resistance training and weights, and that's when I noticed a big difference. That's when I really noticed a huge change in myself, and my body composition changed radically. I got stronger, I got leaner, and I was able to get away with it in a way. It's because I'm very tall, so I can look thin even if I'm not strong," Ivanka said.
She added: "Although I enjoy yoga and Pilates much more than strength training, I couldn't build muscle with them. I really needed this... It has changed my life."
She said that what really worked for her were simple exercises, like "deadlifts" and "squats." "Weightlifting has improved not only my strength, but also my overall athletic ability and my endurance," she revealed in 2024.
Additionally, she mentioned that she and her whole family enjoy practicing Jiu-Jitsu, a type of self-defense martial art.
Did Ivanka Trump stop doing cardio?
Not entirely, as she related that although strength training became the foundation of her routine, she did not completely eliminate cardiovascular exercise, as she incorporated some short sessions of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to work on her cardiovascular condition.
What does Ivanka Trump eat to maintain her figure?
Another change the businesswoman has pointed out is related to her diet. Donald Trump's daughter has said that she significantly increased her protein intake, something she considers fundamental along with strength training. In statements about her routine, she stated that she currently consumes between 30 to 50 grams of protein per meal.
Likewise, on the Skinny Confidential podcast, she also commented that she always adds amino acids and electrolytes to her water and that, before going to bed, she likes to take magnesium.
