Following the criticism, the host explained that she did not undergo cosmetic surgery, but rather a non-invasive procedure to lift her eyebrows, and that it was still in the process of healing from inflammation.
According to Mayo Clinic, a brow lift "improves the appearance of the forehead, eyebrows, and the area around the eyes."
Furthermore, it can be performed without surgery depending on the technique used.
"I never looked like I did in the photos they posted, don't be mean," the host asserted.
Later, during the inauguration of a new branch of the anti-aging aesthetic clinic she visits, Montijo explained why she decided to have the procedure done following her doctor's recommendation.
"Botox doesn't sit well with me; she puts it here (on the forehead), and my eyes and gaze looked awful, so we made the decision; she said to me: 'Why don't we lift the eyebrow and you can stop having to get Botox?'"
The presenter also asserted that the criticism no longer affects her.
