Influencer Estefanía Coppola sparked criticism from internet users after posting a video in which she claimed she planned to hold her wedding at Chapultepec Castle and that renting the venue cost one million pesos. Her father even commented that the price seemed "cheap" to him.
Following the viralization of the video, the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) clarified that Chapultepec Castle was not rented for a private event and asserted that the influencer only attended a guided tour.

In a video posted on TikTok, which has already exceeded 1.6 million views and accumulated more than 2,000 comments, Estefanía Coppola documented a guided tour of Chapultepec Castle.
At the beginning of the video, she explained that she and her parents went to see the place where, as she stated, the venue for her wedding would be.
"We came to see the venue for my wedding at Chapultepec Castle... I was already told that the part of the Castle that is rented is this area; the inside is not allowed because it must be taken care of."
The content creator added that she was informed the cost would be one million pesos.
"And the price is one million pesos. It's a lot of money, but I think getting married at Chapultepec Castle is priceless."
She then asked her father if he would pay that amount so she could get married there, to which he replied:
"Well yes, it's actually cheap; it's beautiful, exclusive."

Some TikTok users were annoyed, as they felt that a historic site should not be rented out for social events. Meanwhile, others questioned the influencer's claims, asserting that her information was false.
Still others joked about her father's purchasing power, asking him to lend them money.
Among the comments, the following stand out:

- "Dile a tu papá que me preste una feria."
- "Me quedé tieso cuando dijo el papá que un millón de pesos era barato."

INAH desmiente que el Castillo de Chapultepec se rente para bodas
Faced with the controversy, the National Institute of Anthropology and History published a statement on X in which it clarified the situation.
The agency pointed out that it is false that Chapultepec Castle has been rented for a wedding or any other type of social activity.
Likewise, it explained that Estefanía Coppola's visit was part of the venue's regular programming.
"It is false that the National Museum of History, Chapultepec Castle, has rented its facilities for any social activity."
The INAH detailed that the influencer participated in a tour along with about 20 other people, conducted solely through areas open to the public, for which there was a payment made in accordance with the law.

According to the official INAH website, Chapultepec Castle only permits the holding of cultural, academic, or scientific events.
While social or corporate events are not permitted, Chapultepec Castle cannot be rented for weddings, fifteenth birthday parties, or similar celebrations.
