Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo did not train with his national team this Wednesday, on the eve of facing Denmark in the UEFA Nations League, just after his coach Jorge Jesus denied any conflict with him and assured that he would be in the session with his teammates.

In the press conference prior to the reconnaissance practice session at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Jorge Jesus was asked about a potential conflict with Cristiano Ronaldo, who was a substitute and did not play in Sunday's 2-1 victory in Norway.
At the end of that match in Oslo, CR7 went straight to the locker room, without joining his teammates to go and greet the Portuguese fans present in the stadium.
"There was no incident," asserted the 72-year-old coach in his remarks to journalists.
"There is no player, and I was also a player, who is happy after spending 20 or 30 minutes warming up only to not get in," Jorge Jesus reasoned.
The coach, who is making his debut on the Portugal bench in this international window, explained that he had a chat with Cristiano Ronaldo in which he told him before the match that he was not going to be a starter against Norway, but that he might be able to play a few minutes.
"Then, as a coach, I decided that he would not enter. There is no need to make an incident out of that," he stressed.
Jorge Jesus also denied that Cristiano refused to train on Tuesday, as several Portuguese media had suggested, and pointed out that he had to perform individual exercises.

Jorge Jesus also noted in his press conference that Cristiano Ronaldo was going to train normally on Wednesday, but the journalists present at the scene confirmed that this was not the case.
Photographers did capture images of the player getting off the bus and entering the Copenhagen stadium before the training session.
Some media, including the Portuguese public television RTP, reported that the captain then left the premises alone.
According to the Portuguese press, the player's private jet headed for Copenhagen.
Before the journalists, Jorge Jesus had previously announced that the starter in the attack against Denmark would be Gonçalo Ramos.
"If everything goes normally, it is Gonçalo who will play. If I need him (Cristiano Ronaldo), he will come in. If I don't need him, he won't come in," he concluded.
At 41 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo has not set a date for his retirement, but said a few weeks ago that he is "probably" facing the last season of his career.
He was a starter last Thursday in the 1-0 victory over Wales on the first matchday of the Nations League and Jorge Jesus's debut in the position.
CR7 did not score in that game and therefore remains with 979 goals scored in his successful and long career, 21 away from reaching the symbolic barrier of one thousand.
