Julián Quiñones once again demonstrated that his bond with Mexico goes far beyond the pitch. The Mexican National Team forward, born in Colombia and a naturalized Mexican, drew attention on social media after sharing an emotional post in which he proudly flaunted the colors of the Tricolor.

Through his Instagram stories, Quiñones posted a series of photographs wearing the Mexico jersey. In one of the images, he appears kissing the Mexican National Team badge and accompanied the post with a resounding message:
“Long live Mexico, land of my heart”.
The post quickly caught the attention of his followers, especially due to the history behind the forward's decision to represent Mexico at the international level.
Julián Quiñones shows off his love for Mexico
Although Julián Quiñones was born on March 24, 1997, in Magüí Payán, Colombia, a good part of his professional career was built in Mexico.
He arrived in the country at a very young age to join the youth academies of Tigres and later played for clubs ranging from Venados to América, where he won titles before continuing his career in Saudi Arabia.
It was during his time in Mexican soccer that he began the process to obtain citizenship. In October 2023, he received his Mexican naturalization papers and, just a few weeks later in November of that year, he made his debut with the Mexican National Team.
Since then, the attacker has publicly shown the affection he feels for Mexico on different occasions. When he officially received his naturalization, he also celebrated the moment on social media with a message dedicated to the country.
Mexico also holds an important place in Quiñones' family life
The soccer player's bond with Mexico is not limited to his sports career, either.
Quiñones is married to Ana Gabriela Quiñones Amato, a Mexican woman who is a communication graduate, model, and content creator. The couple began their relationship in 2022, when the forward was playing for Atlas, and later had a civil wedding.
Together they have a daughter, Alanna, born in December 2023. Additionally, both have children from previous relationships and have formed a family that they occasionally show on their social media.
