If your internet starts failing on your cell phone and suddenly you can no longer open any page, including your Facebook, Instagram, or X, perhaps you are one of the millions of people affected who will be left without a network in the next 72 hours. How do you know if you will no longer be able to browse? We tell you here so you can take precautions.

The internet is one of the essential tools today: it is used for everything, for a good part of the day, so the news that it may be canceled or suspended generates alert and uncertainty.

But this service cancellation will only happen in Mexico and has to do with the procedure requested by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (CRT): the cell phone registration linked to the CURP and the user's personal information is mandatory, and those who do not do so will have to face some consequences.

One of them is being left without internet, as warned by the CRT in a statement specifying that said network blockage will happen 72 hours after August 15, which is the deadline for the first block of mobile phone users in Mexico to register.

“For users who do not complete their registration on time, telephone companies will begin the service suspension process (calls, text messages, and internet) within a period of 72 hours after the deadline,” the commission indicated.

People who will be left without internet in the coming days will be those with a cell phone number ending in 0 who have not completed their registration. For example, if your number ends like this:

-55 1234 5670

-55 9876 5430

-81 2345 6780

You will be affected by this measure.
