When is El Buen Fin? Dates and duration
As announced by the organization, El Buen Fin will have five full days of wholesale sales and offers at various businesses in Mexico; previously it was four.
The cheapest weekend of the year will start on Friday the 13th and will end on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, so you will have more days to take advantage of the shopping and thousands of discounts and payment facilities offered by retail stores. At the moment, there are 43 days left until it kicks off.
What is El Buen Fin and what offers will it bring?
The Buen Fin weekend is the prelude to Christmas and end-of-year shopping, similar to the Black Friday celebrated in the United States the day after Thanksgiving.
During this weekend, offers, promotions, bonuses, and payment facilities are launched in thousands of physical and online stores on products like electronics, technology, clothing, shoes, cell phones and gadgets, home appliances, household items, jewelry, office equipment, furniture, toys, and even travel, to mention a few.
Some of the main businesses involved in El Buen Fin are physical and online stores of Amazon, Mercado Libre, SheIn, Temu, Walmart, Bodega Aurrerá, Liverpool, Palacio de Hierro, Costco, Chedraui, Coppel, Sam’s Club, H&m Suburbia,
Regarding travel and tourism, Aeroméxico, Africam Safari, Acuario Inbursa, and Viajes Sears will be some of the establishments that will offer promotions.
How to avoid falling into fraud and scams during the Buen Fin 2025?
To avoid falling for false promotions, the Federal Consumer Prosecutor's Office (Profeco) and the Buen Fin organization recommend using the “Who is Who in Prices” system, where you can compare the costs of products before and during El Buen Fin.
It is suggested to verify the authenticity of the offers, compare prices, and read the purchase conditions to maximize savings during the cheapest days of the year. These are the tips that the Buen Fin gives to prevent fraud or scams:
To prevent scams in digital payments:
- No proporcionar a terceros información bancaria como el NIP y la contraseña
- Si tus datos bancarios están en tu dispositivo portátil, asegúrate de contar con bloqueo de acceso con NIP, huella dactilar o reconocimiento facial
- Usa una contraseña de acceso seguro y cámbiala con frecuencia
- No compartas información sensible en redes sociales
- Utiliza tarjetas con código de seguridad dinámico
For online payments:
- No instales aplicaciones de terceros no autorizados
- Actualiza tu sistema operativo o navegador
- No utilices computadoras en sitios públicos como salas de internet
- No descargues apps de comercios desconocidos
- Verifica que la URL del comercio sea segura
In emails or SMS messages:
- Verifica el remitente, si no lo conoces, no abras el mensaje o el correo
- Comprueba la dirección del enlace antes de abrirlo, si no lo conoces, no lo abras
- Busca errores ortográficos y gramaticales, si los tiene, no lo abras
- Ante requerimiento urgentes, no respondas
- No descargues archivos ni abras enlaces si no estás seguro de su origen
- Comunícate con tu banco para confirmar promociones, alertas o cargos
- No proporciones contraseñas
At the ATM:
- Asegúrate de que no haya objetos extraños en la lectora de tarjetas o en el dispensador de efectivo
- Cubre con tu mano la pantalla cuando captures el NIP
