It is important to know that there is no general double payment for all pensioners of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) or the Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE). However, some people may indeed receive two separate incomes. Furthermore, there are already official dates to know when both health institutes will deposit the pension.
Who will receive a double payment in September 2026?
The pensioners who could receive two deposits are those who meet these conditions:

In this case, it is not a matter of the IMSS or ISSSTE doubling the pension. What happens is that the person receives two different forms of support: their monthly pension and, separately, the bimonthly Bienestar payment.
When is the ISSSTE pension for September 2026 deposited?
ISSSTE pensioners and retirees will receive the payment corresponding to September on Friday, August 28, 2026. After this deposit, the next payment, corresponding to October, is scheduled for September 30.
When is the IMSS pension for September 2026 deposited?
In the case of the IMSS, the deposit is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, 2026. The official IMSS calendar establishes that pensions are paid on the first business day of each month.
When is the Bienestar Pension for September-October 2026 deposited?
The Bienestar Pension is delivered on a bimonthly basis; as of today, the official disbursement calendar for September-October has not been published, so we recommend that you keep an eye on the notices issued by the authorities through their official channels.
How much money will those with an IMSS or ISSSTE pension and a Bienestar Pension receive?
The amount of the Bienestar Pension is 6,400 pesos bimonthly; the amount from the IMSS and ISSSTE will depend on the retirement regime, the weeks contributed, and the years worked.
