A person died after being the victim of an armed robbery at the "El Asadito" taco shop, located in the municipality of Amozoc, Puebla, whose video gained traction on social media by showing the exact moment of the attack.
According to a video shared on X, apparently taken by the establishment's security cameras, the violent robbery occurred in the early minutes of the night on Saturday, January 10th, when at least three subjects entered the establishment where there were two diners at a table and it was being served by three men and a woman.
Wearing face masks and armed, the thieves intimidated the waiters, who raised their hands and stopped their activities following the threats.
One of the subjects struck the taquero on the head, who then seemingly pointed out where the cash register was located.
Then, another man searched the waiters to snatch their belongings.
The diners, upon realizing what was happening, remained motionless in their seats until they were searched by the assailants.
While one of the aggressors took the cash register, which apparently contained more than 20,000 pesos in cash, one of the customers in a denim jacket got up from his seat and approached the waiters who were cornered to the side of the service tables.
One of the criminals, upon noticing this, turned back with pistol in hand and confronted the victim, who apparently argued with the subject, who then slapped him.
Immediately, the assailant fired a shot that hit the wall and stepped back a few paces; however, the customer managed to duck.
The criminal fired again at his victim, who fell to the floor, then fired a third shot that apparently hit the other man who was sitting at the table witnessing the argument.
The subjects fled the scene of the robbery, while the taco shop staff appeared confused and one of them approached the man on the ground, who lifted his head seconds later.
According to local media reports, one person died following the robbery at the "El Asadito" taco shop, located on the Puebla-Tehuacán federal highway, though their identity is unknown.
So far, the municipal government's social media accounts have not provided a report on the armed robbery, which has gone viral on various platforms.
