Andrea Legarreta has been at the center of media attention after her romance with Luis Carlos Origel, Pepillo Origel's nephew, was revealed. This is her first known relationship following her separation from singer Erik Rubín.
According to recent reports, the television presenter and Origel are in a formal relationship despite the age difference; she is 54, while he is said to be 34 years old.

But this romance is not new, even though the news recently exploded. In fact, journalist Martha Figueroa stated on her show, Así se hacen los chismes, that the couple has been dating for almost three months, since last October, and she detailed the exact moment they decided to make their relationship public.
Figueroa contextualized the information by noting that Legarreta was unsure about formally dating Luis Carlos due to the age gap. After speaking with her family and friends, including Erik, and receiving their support, Andrea decided to move forward with her relationship.

“(...) I must say that I did push Andrea to say: ‘Hey, enough! You’re stuck together all day, what are you missing, kissing and what follows? Just do it already,’ because they truly adore each other; you have no idea how well he takes care of her,” said Martha.
It seems the exact moment they revealed their love publicly was in October 2025, during the wedding of journalist Martha Carrillo’s daughter. At that time, there were suspicions within both of their circles, but nothing was said about it; even Pepillo Origel recently said he suspected their relationship.
“Their first official outing as a couple was at Martha Carrillo’s daughter’s wedding, which was around October in Tepoztlán. That was the official ‘we’re dating’ photo; people don't pay attention, but that was the first official ‘we are a couple’ moment,” said Figueroa, referring to a photograph circulating on social media from that wedding in which Andrea appears with Luis Carlos Origel.
According to her, before starting their romance, the couple were very good friends, “inseparable,” for two years. Since then, Luis Carlos has strengthened a good relationship with the two daughters Andrea shares with the former Timbiriche singer: “They adore Luis Carlos.”
Taking into account the dates mentioned by Martha Figueroa, Andrea Legarreta and Luis Carlos Origel began their close bond shortly after she separated from Erik Rubín following 22 years of marriage.
According to reports from the time, Andrea and Erik separated in February 2023, but the decision to end their marriage was made months earlier. It is known that they are on good terms, as friends and family, to be close to their two daughters, and that they have not signed the divorce papers.
