The Mexican television artistic community was surprised by the announcement of the passing of producer Pedro Torres Castilla at 73 years of age in Mexico City.
"He departed today in peace, calm and full of faith, surrounded by the love of his children, mother, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nephews, extended family, and other loved ones who accompanied him until the very last moment," his family revealed in an obituary published on the photographer's social media.

Throughout his professional career, he was a filmmaker, publicist, and music producer for various artists, in addition to being one of the creative minds behind some of Televisa's greatest hits, among which are:

Although Pedro Torres was careful with his personal life, it is public knowledge that during his youth he started a family with Lucía Méndez, with whom he had a son.

Upon hearing of the death of her former partner, Lucía Méndez posted an emotional message along with a photo from several years ago in which she appears with the producer and their son.
"Today a genius, a visionary, and the man who gave me the greatest gift of my life: my son, says goodbye," reads the post where colleagues from set and journalists have left their condolences.
