“My little princess knows what she wants”: Paris Hilton responds to criticism over her daughter’s costume

Paris Hilton joined the 2026 Halloween celebrations and shared photos on Instagram of her family dressed as characters from Beauty and the Beast. However, the model and businesswoman received criticism on social media for dressing her 2-year-old daughter, London, as Chip, the little teacup, instead of the Disney princess.

Faced with the negative comments, Hilton explained that Chip is her daughter's favorite character and that she chose her own Halloween costume.

“Beauty and the Beast is one of her favorite movies, and London said she wanted to dress up as Chip. She said it was her favorite character from the movie."

Subsequently, 45-year-old Paris Hilton shared a video from content creator Sebastian Soto Tea, who came to her defense in light of the criticism.

"Does London look sad to you? Because to me, she looks incredibly happy knowing that her mom is a princess... What Paris Hilton is doing for her children is creating a world of wonder, a world of magic, a world of memories... So, instead of focusing on this Halloween costume, look at all the incredible things Paris Hilton has done," he expressed.

In the video's description, Hilton reiterated that Chip is London's favorite character and assured that her little one knows exactly what she wants.

“When your daughter's favorite Beauty and the Beast character is Chip, you let her be Chip! My little princess knows exactly what she wants!"

In the photos, which garnered 538,000 likes, Hilton appears as Princess Belle; her daughter London as Chip; her 3-year-old son Phoenix as Lumière; and her husband, Carter Reum, as the Beast.

Additionally, Hilton shared a second photo session in which her family appears dressed as the characters from The Addams Family.
