The death of Mauro Menéndez, the eldest son of Aylín Mujica, continues to move the entertainment world a little over a week after his tragic passing in Barbados. In the last few hours, the final voice message he left for the actress and host has come to light. What did he say in the audio?
It was Aylín Mujica herself who shared exclusively with La Mesa Caliente the last voice message sent by her firstborn, in which he gave her an update on his health after being diagnosed with pneumonia.
According to the audio, the music producer and DJ tried to reassure his mother and said he felt better with the treatment he had been prescribed to treat the pneumonia at a hospital in Barbados.
Mauro said: "They saw the X-rays and yes, they say I have, or well, had pneumonia, but I already took the antibiotics, the syrup, and everything they gave me, and I don't have a cough anymore, I don't feel bad anymore, I feel good now, I feel normal now, nothing hurts anymore, I'm okay now."

The voice message was shared by the program following the interview Mujica gave to Verónica Bastos days after Mauro's passing, in which she detailed the timeline of what happened to her son, from when he traveled from Miami to Barbados, to his final moments and how she received the news.
¿Qué le pasó a Mauro Menéndez, hijo de Aylín Mujica?
According to the Cuban actress's testimony, Mauro began a treatment with antibiotics and other medications after studies confirmed a diagnosis of "very severe" pneumonia. This happened shortly after the DJ arrived in Barbados from Miami.
However, hours later, his condition unexpectedly worsened and he was hospitalized in an emergency, where doctors attempted to resuscitate him at least five times. So far, details about his health status come from statements made by the family and the interview the Cuban actress gave.
After listening to the message, Aylín did not think his health condition would worsen to the point of leading to his death through three seizures, two heart attacks, and other complications.
"They revived him approximately five times. The sixth time, they called me and the doctor told me: 'We have to make a decision'," she recalled. Desperate to know how her son was doing and to speak with him, the actress asked them to hold the phone to Mauro's ear and pleaded: "Don't leave, Mauro, don't leave," the actress recounted.
