Harry Styles' residency in Mexico has ended, but the British singer's concerts continue to be a talking point. After Ticketmaster noted that the six performances by the former One Direction member were a success and that 46 dates would have been needed to meet the high demand for tickets, a fan warned on social media about some gummy candies she received as a freebie that, according to her account, caused effects similar to a drug.

A Harry Styles fan recounted in a Facebook group that she had an unexpected experience after consuming some gummies she received as freebies during one of the singer's concerts in Mexico.
The fan explained that these gummies had no packaging or warning of what they contained. She says she consumed them while organizing the items she had received at the August 7th and 10th concerts and subsequently began to feel effects similar to those of a drug, which she described as "a huge high."
“Friends, warn people that these have a trick LOL, friends I am getting a huge high. You should have warned me or maybe I didn't read. [...] I'm letting you know more than anything so that accidents don't happen or you don't give away your candy, analyze them well because I didn't,” she recounted.
The fan also explained in her post that she believed she had received the gummies at the August 10th concert and that they didn't even taste strange.

The fan's post generated diverse reactions among the singer of "As it was"'s fandom. Some users pointed out that handing out food or candy without revealing the type of content it contains could pose a risk, especially to children.
“How dangerous the person who did that is; if you find out who it is, publish it. It is not okay to drug people, imagine if a child eats it or someone else gets intoxicated,” wrote one fan.
Another person claimed to work at the GNP Seguros Stadium, where the concerts were held, and stated that during the last performances, sweets were no longer allowed to be brought in.
“That's why, in the last few days, they didn't let candy in, there were maaaany cases (I work there) and you're telling it like it's funny, but who knows with what intention they gave it, always take good care of yourselves,” she wrote.
One user even commented that she used to give her daughter the candy she received as freebies at the concerts.
“Warn us friends, I gave my daughter some little candies from my freebies”.
Another user criticized the situation and pointed out that these types of incidents could affect the tradition of exchanging freebies during concerts.
“Bravo idiots (Harries). In addition to twisting the tradition of freebies, one will no longer be able to give/receive candy, food, or drinks at ease from their own fandom for fear of being drugged”.
At the moment, the relevant authorities have not commented on the matter.
