Pati Chapoy fled from the press after being asked for a public apology regarding the controversy surrounding Pedro Sola and his comments about wanting to poison dogs. What did the head of Ventaneando say?
The presenter ignited controversy on social media after the Mexican press questioned her about the Sola issue and asked for an apology for having laughed at her collaborator's insinuations about killing dogs and sending their owners to a psychiatrist.

While attending Cristian Castro's graduation at the Royal Hotel in Tlalpan, Chapoy was approached by several fellow reporters who asked her why she hadn't offered an apology after the scandal, to which she replied that she had done so. Immediately after, in an indignant manner captured by cameras, Pati fled without wanting to say anything more.
"Ma'am, why didn't you make a public apology after all that puppy controversy?" a reporter asked her, to which the Ventaneando presenter replied: "Ugh! But I did apologize."

Faced with the reporter's insistence on how she took the comments and the public's requests for apologies, the television figure said in an evasive tone that she didn't owe them "anything."

A few weeks ago, Pedro Sola caused public outrage after making comments apologizing for animal abuse on the program Ventaneando, in which he expressed his desire to poison dogs and kill their owners.
According to him, he cannot stand seeing pets in public places and every time he sees one, he wants to "throw poisoned meat at them" and "shoot the owners" who take them in strollers.
"I do not tolerate dogs in the store, dogs in the supermarket, dogs pooping in the restaurant. Hey, what is that? Have you all gone crazy or what? I feel like throwing a piece of poisoned meat (..) Or those who take three in a stroller, you feel like shooting the owners."
Regarding these comments, Pati Chapoy laughed and agreed that people are wrong for treating dogs that way and said it made her want to send people with dogs to a psychiatrist. "It makes you want to give them a psychiatrist's card," she noted on air.
Faced with media pressure and calls to boycott the program, Sola was forced to issue an apology, claiming that his comments were made without thinking and were influenced by his age.
