The Mexico City government has opened the call for the Men's Wellbeing pension, which distributes 3,000 pesos every two months through the Wellbeing Card.

If you are between 60 and 64 years old and live in , you should know that you can register for this social program right now; you just need to meet the requirements requested by the Mexico City Ministry of Wellbeing (SEBIEN). Below, we tell you everything you need to know.

What is the Men's Wellbeing Pension and who is it for?

The Men's Wellbeing Pension for those aged 60 to 64 is one of the various financial aid programs provided by the Mexico City government. It is intended for men in the capital between 60 and 64 years old at the time of enrollment who are in a vulnerable situation or live in areas with a high degree of marginalization.

"The federal pension for older adults (currently distributed starting at age 65) does not cover the population aged 60 to 64, even though various challenges that can affect regular monetary income arise at this stage of life," note the Operating Rules.

Once the beneficiaries turn 65, the support will be withdrawn so they can access the federal Wellbeing Pension for Older Adults.

When is registration for the Men's Wellbeing Pension?

In a recent statement, SEBIEN detailed that registration for the Men's Wellbeing Pension opened last Monday, August 24, and will conclude this coming Friday, the 28th.

Registration for the Men's Wellbeing Pension will be carried out door-to-door, which means that SEBIEN staff will visit the homes of those interested in being part of the support program.

"Remember that registrations are carried out only door-to-door by the Secretariat of Citizen Attention and Participation," the secretariat's statement reads, so it is not necessary to go to any service center or perform the process online.
