In a video lasting more than six minutes, she thanked her followers for the messages of support she received during the last three weeks and stated that she feels at peace with how she handled the controversy.
The host stated that no one forced her to offer public apologies, although she explained that the message did have to be approved by her superiors before it was published.
"I want to tell you that, of course, this is not easy at all; these days have not been easy at all. I am at peace with my actions, I am at peace with my apology... I was not forced to give those public apologies; they came from my heart."
And she added:
"They were approved so I could say them. They were not altered; they were said just as they came from my heart. I was not forced to ask for them; in fact, I want to ratify them."
The Ecuadorian actress and host accompanied the video with the following message:
"Friends, the hatred of a few will never be stronger than coherence, common sense, and love. Everything is going to be okay. The final word on my life belongs to God. He will put me wherever He wants. I love you! Thanks for everything."
