The recent controversy between the two celebrities arose after Belinda gave an interview to Vogue Mexico about the song she made with Danna, which she described as a historic collaboration between two pop stars who put their egos aside and worked for the love of music.
“I am very excited because a duet I’m very excited about is coming out, with Danna. I think that in Mexico, two pop stars had never come together to make music; sometimes egos are much higher than talent or projects. In this case, we managed to set aside artist egos and simply make a song for the love of art, for the love of music,” Belinda said in the interview.
These statements were interpreted by her followers as a dig at Kenia Os, who was apparently her friend until recently and with whom she previously collaborated on the song Jackpot.

Internet users claimed that Belinda had snubbed Kenia because they had already worked together on the song and on a podcast with Danna that ended abruptly, and that she had also belittled Os's career in the music industry and as a pop singer.
The controversy escalated even further when content creator Eddy Nieblas touched on the topic on his social media, noting that the Keninis, Kenia's fans, were upset with Belinda for demeaning her work.

In Eddy's video, shared on Instagram and TikTok, Belinda spoke out, defending herself and denying the alleged snub. The singer said she has a lot of affection and respect for Os and asked to stop pitting them against each other and spreading defamation.
“I never throw shade at anyone, much less at my colleagues in the music industry. I have a lot of affection and profound respect for Kenia. We have a collaboration together called Jackpot and a very beautiful relationship,” wrote the singer and Mentiras actress.
“What I was referring to in the interview was that a fictitious enmity has always been created specifically between Danna and me, and I never thought we would achieve this collaboration in which everything aligned for it to be so. Also, let’s remember that, until recently, collaborations between women started to become more frequent, and that gives me a lot of happiness,” she clarified.
And she concluded: “Stop inventing things and trying to pit us against each other, both us and the fandoms. I always stay on the sidelines of defamation, but in this case, since it involves women, I felt it was necessary to make this comment. Long live collaborations between women and good energy, always.”
