Following all the controversy generated by her victory in Miss Universe 2025, Fátima Bosch decided to defend herself against rumors suggesting she only won the beauty pageant due to the influence of her father, Bernardo Bosch Hernández, who was linked to the president of the Miss Universe Organization, Raúl Rocha. The controversy over Bosch’s win emerged just hours after she was declared the winner of the contest, as one of the judges questioned the transparency of the process used to select the finalists. Omar Harfouch, a former Miss Universe judge, posted messages on his social media such as “Miss Mexico is a fake winner" and “Miss Mexico is a fake Miss Universe and I will tell you why”.

Since then, Harfouch has maintained his accusations and expressed his discontent with the contest's result. Facing the scandal, Fátima Bosch decided to speak about what happened and clarify all the points, from her victory to how involved her father is in what happened in Miss Universe 2025.
In an interview for the ABC television program “Good Morning America,” Fátima asserted that she will not resign from the Miss Universe 2025 crown and denied that her father is linked to the pageant or interfered to favor her: “My father has nothing to do with the organization and that is crazy. How are you going to buy a crown? Maybe at Walmart you can buy one. But in Miss Universe, of course, no,” she stated.
Bosch also denied considering resigning from her beauty title: “Of course not. I will never walk away from this crown. I am not here for the fame, or to be a model, or to look for a husband. I am here because God put a purpose in my heart. I have a mission and I will fulfill it every year: to serve others, to help”.
Likewise, the model accused that there is a hate campaign and noted that she confronted Nawat Itsaragrisil to defend her dignity.
