Kim Kardashian lived a terrifying experience with Kanye West during a trip to Africa in 2018, according to her new authorized biography.
Jonathan Van Meter, author of Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future, which went on sale this Tuesday, detailed that during that trip "things reached a point of no return" between Kim and Kanye.
The book includes interviews with Kim and testimonies from friends, family, and close collaborators, including Farnaz Farjam, executive producer of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Farjam told Van Meter that it was during that trip that she first realized things were not right between the couple.
According to the book, they were filming in Uganda when Kanye became agitated and paranoid. The singer claimed that someone was trying to drug him, so the police arrived at the scene with weapons.
“They were filming in a remote location in Uganda when Kanye became paranoid and agitated. Basically, he managed to make the local police believe that there were people trying to drug him, so they arrived with guns in hand. He had them search everyone's rooms,” wrote Van Meter.
The situation escalated to such a degree that "one of the police officers pointed a gun at Kim's head," according to Farjam.
The producer described the moment as "intense" and stated that "in the end, I had to get a private jet and get my team out of there."
Despite what happened, Farjam claimed that she "forgave" Kanye, as she attributed his behavior to his illness.
"He suffers from bipolar disorder and at that moment he was in a manic phase," she stated.
Kim Kardashian claims that it is a burden to have children with Kanye West
In another part of the book, Kim Kardashian admitted to her biographer that she worries about Kanye West daily. However, she acknowledged that sharing children with him is a burden, since they do not get along well.
“Oh, I worry about [Kanye] all day. All the time. He is the father of my children, I will never stop worrying about him. And that is a huge burden: having children with someone you don't necessarily get along with. My children will never know that.”
