Such is the case with Enzo Fernández, who posted a photo on Instagram appearing alongside Messi, accompanied by the Oasis song "Wonderwall".
In the image, he is seen at training alongside the Albiceleste's number 10 and Leandro Paredes; the three are smiling, which sparked even more indignation because it looked as if they were mocking others, internet users noted. However, Enzo Fernández immediately deleted the Instagram story and later uploaded the same photo without the music.
That image has led to speculation about the midfielder's future at Chelsea once the World Cup ends and he returns to play in the Premier League, which begins on August 21.
But it wasn't just that which unleashed the anger of the English fans; a Chelsea post also stirred their resentment, as the club shared a photograph of the Argentine's celebration after he scored against England in the semifinal.
Although Chelsea eventually deleted the image, thousands of fans saw it and complained. Among their demands is that they sell Enzo Fernández, as they consider his attitude inappropriate despite playing in English football.
