After having been the sensation at the 2026 World Cup with the Mexican National Team and being one of the tournament's top scorers, Julián Quiñones returned “home” to rejoin his Saudi team, Al Qadsiah.
The naturalized Mexican player returned to Saudi Arabia amidst celebrations by fans and his football club after concluding his commitments with 'El Tri,' whom he led to glory during the Cup.
Videos and photographs are circulating on social media of the footballer arriving at the airport in Saudi Arabia and being greeted by a group of children who cheered his achievement, as well as Al Qadsiah executives and other people who welcomed him with cheers, large posters, flower leis, and the club's flag.
“Giving the welcome that only the gentleman of ‘the world news’ deserves,” the Arab club's account wrote on social media after the reception. “He returned to his club and his fans welcomed him,” another post says. “It's good to have you back, La Pantera,” adds another.

Quiñones regresa a Arabia tras sus vacaciones de lujo en México
Quiñones enjoyed a well-deserved vacation with his wife, Ana Gabriela, and their children off the coast of Los Cabos in Baja California Sur before returning to Saudi Arabia.
In images that went viral at the time, Quiñones was captured being cheered by Mexican fans who encountered him on the streets of Los Cabos.
Following this, a video was shared on social media in which the footballer talks about his experience playing for 'El Tricolor' and gave his opinion on the decisions made by Javier Aguirre regarding his participation, especially in the match against England where Mexico lost.
In that match, the manager took him out even though the English were in the lead and the national team was falling out in the round of 16. According to him, Aguirre made a mistake by taking him out of the game: “Oh yeah, he messed up [Javier Aguirre], the old man made a mistake with the substitutions.”
Quiñones en la mira de Europa
The forward returned to Saudi Arabia after there was talk of elite clubs like Chelsea and Aston Villa. According to reports from ESPN, both teams have shown interest in Quiñones after he scored four goals with the Mexican National Team in the World Cup.
Apparently, there are already offers for the player; however, he just renewed his contract with Al Qadsiah. In the event that a transfer is agreed upon with either of the two clubs, up to 200 million dollars would have to be paid for the contract termination clause.
Specialized media estimate that Julián's value to those clubs would be up to 70 million euros, a figure that would make him the most expensive Mexican player in history.
