¿Qué se necesita para registrar el celular?
In general, you need to have a valid form of identification on hand, such as:
- INE.
- Pasaporte.
- Documento Nacional de Identidad (CURP Biométrica).
¿Dónde registro mi númer de celular?
If you are a Telcel user, the process is simple, free, and can be done in a few minutes as follows:
- To perform the registration in person, go to a Customer Service Center; online, you will only have up to three chances to complete the linking process.
If you are an AT&T user, the registration is performed as follows:
- For Mexicans, an INE or valid passport will be requested.
- For foreigners, a passport from your country of origin.
- You will be able to make 3 attempts using the link sent to you via SMS (if you need help, consult their website). Later, you can try again by scanning the QR code that will appear at the beginning of this page to perform the linking.

The new legislation seeks to create a reliable database that allows authorities to link a telephone line to a real identity.
