At that moment, the broadcast was interrupted, which was later removed by the platform, although news portals kept part of the video and have broadcast images of the attack.
The first reports from local police noted the death of a delivery driver, but with the recording and various testimonies, he was later identified as Gastelum, who according to the press was about 25 years old and shared lifestyle content.
The attack occurred in a busy shopping plaza near the Sinaloa prosecutor's office headquarters in Culiacán, the state capital.
Military and police were deployed while forensic experts collected evidence and removed the body, according to footage from local television stations.
This district has been shaken for two years by internal infighting of the powerful local cartel.
The local press points out that a dozen influencers, some of them allegedly related to criminal gangs, have been murdered in recent years in Sinaloa.
