“Mexico must be respected.” In this way, Alejandro Fernández defended Mexico from the hateful comments issued by Argentine journalist Eduardo Feinmann, which have already gone viral on the internet and are sparking indignation.
After Feinmann said on his program that he despised Mexicans and belittled the capabilities of the Mexican National Team during the 2026 World Cup, the singer lashed out at him and lamented that he is given massive platforms like media outlets to express his hate speech.
“How regrettable (...) We cannot take an asshole like this and make him the reflection of an entire country. He does not represent Argentina nor the badass people I have been lucky enough to meet,” wrote El Potrillo on Instagram.
“It is a shame that space is still given to people like this, who turn a sports topic into hate speech between countries that should see each other as brothers. Mexico must be respected,” he added.

The singer of 'Me dediqué a perderte' and 'Mátalas' issued his comments and defense of Mexico after agreeing with the opinion of content creator Carlos Alberto Trillo (Soy Trillo), who said that the Argentine is an “asshole, a fugitive from folic acid” who does not represent his country.
Trillo pointed out in a video: “He is the asshole, the statements are his, and he is a stupid person and an imbecile. I am sure that Argentines are embarrassed by this being (...) It makes me very sad that this bastard lives so angry, so frustrated... He does not represent Argentines.”
In addition to these two media figures, other celebrities and journalists issued their comments against Feinmann; even President Claudia Sheinbaum spoke about it during her morning press conference.
“It is outrageous (...) He is an ally of the Mexican right. The Mexican right does not love the people of Mexico,” she pointed out.
Journalist Paola Rojas said: “I am concerned that irresponsible people like you have access to a microphone and massive influence. You are a disreputable person, but we are not going to spread hatred against all Argentines because of you,” she noted on her program.
She also criticized him for inventing rumors about the alleged threats the Ecuadorian team received from organized crime to let Mexico win in the Round of 32 of the World Cup.
“I want to ask you please not to get hooked, not to fall for the provocation of this moron, of this small man—small in responsibility, in intelligence, diminutive, tiny,” she added.

According to what he said on his news program, the journalist detests Mexicans and claims there is envy toward Argentines in various aspects, including in the sports realm, and he mocked Mexican linguistic idioms like the popular “ahorita” (right now/soon).
“I detest Mexicans, I detest them with my soul. They can shove that ‘ahorita’ up their ass; those guys are detestable. The envy they have toward Argentines, not just in soccer, in everything. They envy us, they want to be like us and they don’t have what it takes, let alone in soccer; they are wooden,” he lashed out.
His statements during the broadcast were made around a conversation he was having with another colleague on the program about the 2026 World Cup and the preferences both have regarding the teams and their positions in the sporting event.
